Singapore’s National Day for 2022 comes close to a long weekend with just one working day in between. 9th August is a Tuesday this year which means you can take a day off on Monday and have a longer time celebrating. Compared to the last two years, there are more dine-in offers available though takeaways are expected to remain popular – especially with larger groups/families who prefer to dine in the comfort of home. Without further ado, here are some National Day dining promotions you can check out.

Soup Restaurant

Enjoy Soup Restaurant’s 8-course menu – good for 5 persons – at 30% off for the National Day period. The 8-course Celebration Set consists of popular mainstays such as Soup Restaurant’s popular Samsui Ginger Chicken and Homemade Tofu with Spicy Minced Pork and Sweet Turnip as well as newer dishes like the Braised Fish Curd with Thick Mushroom and Broccoli. Self pick-up orders with minimum spend of S$150 will also receive the restaurant’s handmade Singa Bao. It is soft, fluffy on the outside and warm on the inside with a sweet lotus paste.

Each set includes assorted vegetables and tofu, konnyaku noodles, two bowls of Hokkaido rice, and raw Okinawa egg as a dip. For dine-in guests, a platter of seasonal starters including the crowd’s favourite uni yukke cone, will be presented as well.

Rempapa x Path

For the first time, Chef Marvas Ng works together with Chef Damian D’Silva in a culinary journey that revisits his Singaporean-Chinese roots and weaves a new story of heritage and creativity. This collaborative effort by the two Singaporean chefs is a sumptuous feast inspired by Singaporean-Chinese culinary culture comprising 2 snacks, 6 different sharing dishes and 2 desserts.

Think items such as a 16-day Dry-aged Duck Crown with perfectly crispy skin, served with caramel chicken jus, sauteed kailan and mandarin orange segments; and an incredibly luxe Iberico Pork Jowl, marinated char-siew style and perfectly grilled over charcoal before being served with a refreshing cucumber and wing bean salad tossed in a housemade Teochew chilli sauce that takes one full month to ferment.

This feast is available for one night only, on 6 August. Served communal-style, it is priced for $168++ for four diners.
