Free Apple iPad or S$350 Cash or Nintendo Switch for Citibank (2022) New Credit Card Holders in Singapore

Update: The Citibank Apple Watch promotion is over. From now to 31st July (11:59PM), there is a new promotion with Singsaver where you can receive a brand new Apple iPad 9th Gen 10.2 inch (worth S$499) or Dyson AM07 with S$50 cash (worth S$549) or Nintendo Switch OLED (worth S$549)  S$350 cash via Paynow. New Citibank cardholders (those who have not held a Citibank card in the past 12 months) who apply for a credit card and get approved can choose to receive one of the aforementioned gifts. Existing cardholders receive S$30 via PayNow. Spend S$500 within 30 days to receive the sign-up gifts. Sign-up here or through the individual card links below.

Annual fee is waived for the first year for all the cards listed below except for the Citi Prestige. Citibank usually waives the annual fee for succeeding years as long as you actively use the card but if not, you can always cancel to avoid paying the annual fee. You can even cancel the credit card after receiving the reward if you wish.

ipad 9th gen (and other mentioned gifts) applicable for the 5 kinds of citi credit cards listed below

Note that this offer is valid only if you apply via the below exclusive links (direct application with Citibank doesn’t count for the promotion). Why is that so? Singsaver actually acts as an aggregator and partner for Citibank cards and from time to time, Singsaver and Citibank may jointly fund the gift in order to split the marketing expense between them.

Similar offers have been running for the past couple of months, with the gift going as low as S$200. The current S$350 cash offer is within the higher end for the cash sign-up reward.

After clicking submit on your credit card application, make sure to take note of your Application Reference Number. You will have to fill out a redemption form (automatically sent to your email once you make a card application) in order to be registered. If you choose to get the cash gift, do ensure that the phone number you fill out in the form is the same as the mobile number for you to receive PayNow payments.

Once your card is approved, remember to spend at least S$500 (can be in multiple transactions) within 30 days of receiving your card in order to receive the reward. You will get an email within 90 days with instructions on how to claim your gift. If you are looking for ways to spend S$500 within a month, there’s that time-honored method of buying vouchers from NTUC Fairprice and paying for it with your credit card.

Why is the sign-up gift so attractive?

The traditional way of getting new card sign ups – that of hiring promoters and organizing roadshows in areas with heavy foot traffic – actually cost a lot of money. Many card companies have resorted to doing it online for the past few years – often through the help of aggregators such as Singsaver. The cost saving allows them to offer attractive gifts from time to time such as cash, luggage or in this case, the Apple iPad / Nintendo Switch. In this case, both the credit card issuing bank and Singsaver could also jointly fund the gift.

Fulfillment of this promotion is done by Singsaver. You can check here for the full T&C.
