You can ride a bus that travels from Manila to Tagaytay. Travel time is usually for 2 to 3 hours. It will depend on the traffic, of course. Fare is about PHP 80 – 90. Here are your options:

From Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX)

In PITX or South West Integrated Provincial Terminal, you can see buses bound for Tagaytay. The buses pass through Emilio Aguinaldo Highway. You can also choose a bus that is bound to Nasugbu, Batangas as it will pass there too. The terminal is open 24 hours, and there is at least one bus traveling to Tagaytay every hour.

From Buendia Bus Terminal

If you want to pass by the South Luzon Express Way (SLEX), take a bus in the DLTB Bus Terminal. It’s near LRT Buendia or LRT Gil Puyat Station. You’ll have to ride one that is bound for Nasugbu or Calatagan, Batangas.

Another option to travel from Manila to Tagaytay is through a Public Van. Fare is about PHP 180 – 200. It could take you 1.5 – 2.5 hours. Vans usually go when it’s full of passengers, so you’ll have to wait for a while. However, this may have lesser time than buses.

Alabang Terminal

This terminal is near Festival Mall. You can ask where the vans traveling to Tagaytay are.

Calatagan Van Terminal

Between Metropoint Mall and Kabayan Hotel, is the Calatagan Van Terminal. Ride a van here to Tagaytay.

Starmall EDSA-Shaw

Another place where you can see vans that are off to Tagaytay is Starmall. This is located across SM Megamall.

If you have a private car, then you can drive from Manila to Tagaytay. There are 2 options you can choose from South Luzon Express Way or through Emilio Aguinaldo Highway. The former is much faster than the latter, but you will have to pay tolls.
